    NEW PALTZ, NY – Despite a game-high 18 points from junior Aaron Samuel (Stratford, CT), the Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball team fell at non-conference foe New Paltz, 83-75, Tuesday night at the Hawk Center. With the loss, the Colonials four-game win streak was snapped as they dropped to 5-4 overall, while the Hawks improved to 3-6.

    DARTMOUTH, MA – Junior guard Tyler Rowe (East Hartford, CT) drained a game-high 26 points and dished out five assists, while classmate Aaron Samuel (Stratford, CT) chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball squad to a 77-70 victory at Little East Conference opponent UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at Tripp Athletic Center. With the win, the Colonials improved to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in league play, while the Corsairs fell to 6-2 and 1-1.

With the win, the Colonials improved to 4-3 overall while the Mariners fell to 2-4.

Junior guard Tyler Rowe (East Hartford, CT) chipped in with 20 points, while classmate forward Rashard Rodriguez (Trumbull, CT) and sophomore guard Evan Curtin (Portland, CT) added 15 and 10, respectively for the Colonials.

    PURCHASE, NY – Junior guard Tyler Rowe (East Hartford, CT) buried a game-high 29 points in his Colonials debut as the Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball team edged Brockport, 66-63, in its season opener on Friday night at the Manhattanville Tip-Off Tournament. Rowe – who transferred from Connecticut College – shot a scorching 10-for-18 (55.6%) from the field, while fellow transfer Geary McLeod (Meriden, CT) – from Mitchell College – chipped in with 10 points for the Colonials.
