Included among the teams was Western Connecticut State University’s Swimming & Diving Team.

    DANBURY, CT - The Western Connecticut State University Athletic Department, behind graduating senior Celia DeVoe (Farmington, CT), and WestConn Student Athletic Advisory Council, are looking for your help. They along with several athletic programs around the Little East Conference and the northeast are running a Marrow Donor Registry Drive. WestConn's will be held on Thursday, March 2 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Midtown Campus Student Center.
  • Women's Swimming and Diving Competes at NEISDA Championships

    KINGSTON, RI - The Western women's swimming and diving team competed in Day Two of competition at the 2017 NEISDA Championships hosted by the University of Rhode Island on Friday. The squad of sophomores Annelise Alfieri (Southington, CT), Brianna Christiano (Prospect, CT), Rachel Peet (New Fairfield, CT) and rookie Olivia Wright (East Hartford, CT) led the Colonials as they finished a strong 400-yard medley relay.     DARTMOUTH, MA – The Western women’s swimming and diving team doubled its point total from last year’s Little East Conference Championships as they captured fifth place at the 2017 Little East Conference Championships at the Tripp Center Natatorium on Saturday. Sophomore Brianna Christiano (Prospect, CT) paced the Colonials, earning the third spot in the 100-yard fly.

    PLYMOUTH, NH - Western Connecticut State University was led by sophomore Rachel Peet (New Fairfield, Conn.) and freshman Olivia Wright (East Hartford, Conn.), who each won an individual race, but it was not enough to hold off host Plymouth State University, 146-107, in an intercollegiate women's swimming and diving dual meet at the PSU Natatorium on Monday afternoon.

    DANBURY, CT – Junior Sarah Sheaffer (New Fairfield, CT) posted stellar scores of 172.35 and 186.52 in the one-meter and three-meter diving events, respectively, as the Western Connecticut women’s swimming and diving squad fell to visiting Hunter College, 129-82, on Saturday afternoon at the O’Neil Center. The Colonials dropped to 0-3-1 with the loss, while the Hawks improved to 9-1.
