HARTFORD, CT – The Western Connecticut State University women's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season at non-league foe Trinity College on Wednesday night, 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-14). With the loss, the Colonials moved to 5-1 overall while the Bantams went to 3-2.
Reigning LEC Rookie of the Week Rory McMaster (Canton, MI) dished out 11 assists and was the lone bright spot for the Colonials.
"We did not come out ready to compete tonight," said WestConn head coach Don Ferguson. "But Trinity is a talented squad and played well," he concluded.
The Colonials will look to rebound against visiting non-league opponent Morrisville State on Friday before hosting Wesleyan and Vassar on Saturday.
